Liverpool scouts watch Luan on Wednesday night

Liverpool scouts were present on Wednesday to watch Gremio’s Luan, who is a target for Liverpool and Russian side Spartak Moscow, according to the Mirror.

Luan’s Gremio featured in the Copa Libertadores against Argentinian side Godoy Cruz on Wednesday night.

Like many young Brazilians, Luan has been labelled as the ‘new Ronaldinho’ and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the player for some time.

Spartak Moscow have reportedly tabled a €20 million bid for the Brazilian, so Liverpool will have to step up their pursuit if they want to get their man.

The 24-year-old has come through the ranks at Gremio and the versatile forward, who can play as a striker, as a 10 and on the wing, where he played on Wednesday, has played 117 times for his boyhood club, scoring 32 goals and assisting 21 times.
