Over the years Liverpool fans have been lucky enough to see some of the best strikers in the world at Anfield.
The likes of Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Fernando Torres, and now Mohamed Salah has blessed the Reds.
However, one former striker that really knew how to light up a game was Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez.
The now 34-year-old joined the club back in 2011 from Eredivisie side Ajax for just under £24million.
During his time at Liverpool Suarez helped the Reds to win the Carling Cup in 2012, but that was as far as it went.
The striker failed to win any other form of silverware with the club, and he has recently opened up about the clubs recent title win…
In an interview with World Soccer Magazine, as cited by Anfield Watch, Suarez said it would have been special to win the league with Liverpool.
The striker stated that Liverpool are back where they belong after winning their first league title for 30 years.
It is a fair statement given the history of trophy winning that Liverpool have, and they certainly are back.
As amazing as it would have been to see Suarez win the title with the club, he went on to new beginning’s.
Joining Barcelona in 2014, Suarez went on to win 13 trophies in six yeas with the Catalan club, an incredible feet.
Maybe one day we will see Suarez back at Anfield, but it most likely won’t be in a Liverpool kit.
