Liverpool willing to sell Lazar Markovic for £12million

Liverpool are prepared to offer Watford the chance to sign out-of-favour winger Lazar Markovic for just £12million, according to the Mirror.

Liverpool signed the Serbian international for £20million back in 2014 and the Reds are willing to take an £8million hit on the player and sell him for just £12million.

Marco Silva took the 23-year-old on loan at Hull City last season and he wants to take the player to his new club Watford this summer.

It is believed that Watford are interested in taking Markovic on loan for the season, however ,Liverpool want to get rid and sell him on a permanent basis.

Markovic has made just 11 starts for Liverpool and scored just two Premier League goals since his big money move from Benfica.

Watford could face stern competition from Zenit St Petersburg and Galatasaray for the winger’s signature as both sides are also said to be interested in the player.

Since his £20million move to Liverpool in 2014, Markovic has also had loans at Fenerbache and Sporting Lisbon but has never done enough to impress those sides enough to make them think about signing him permanently.
