Liverpool’s new training complex moves a step closer

The building of Liverpool’s new training complex at Kirkby Academy has moved one step closer as Knowsley Council have agreed to sell the necessary land to the club. The new facility is set to cost a total of £50 million to create.

The total sale of land, 14 acres on Simonswood Lane, will cost £160,000  Planning permission was agreed back in September and the building is set to start at the end of this season.

This training complex shows the vision of FSG and Jurgen Klopp as they want to have players from all age ranges in one pace, rather than separated as they are now.

Liverpool also want to try and help the local community by investing in new sporting facilities. Facilities such as new football pitches, changing rooms, tree planting and cycle parks will be available to the local community.

The facilities will be used by the local sides, including football team AFC Kirkby.
