Liverpool’s visit to Leicester could be moved

Liverpool’s Premier League clash with defending champions Leicester will be moved if the Foxes draw in the FA Cup this weekend.

The Reds are currently scheduled to face Claudio Ranieri’s men at the King Power Stadium at 20.00 on Monday, February 27.

However, should Millwall hold Leicester in their FA Cup 5th Round meeting, necessitating a replay, the game will instead take place at 12.30 on Saturday, February 25th.

A draw is indeed a possibility, with the Leicester boss revealing that he will make to ten changes for the visit to League One outfit, who have already knocked out Bournemouth and Watford in this year’s competition.

The side which extraordinarily won the title last season is enduring a wretched run of form, hovering just a point above the bottom three following five consecutive defeats.

The Reds will hope to pile further misery on Ranieri as they look to build upon a morale-boosting 2-0 victory against Spurs last time out.

Moreover, Jurgen Klopp’s men, currently at a training camp La Manga, will be revitalised by a two-week break, while their opponents face a trip to Sevilla next week for the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

An early kick off would present Liverpool with an opportunity to put the pressure on their top four rivals, with both Spurs and Arsenal only a single point ahead.
