No Hannover loan move for Ryan Kent

The manager of Hannover, Horst Heldt, has ruled out a loan move for Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent on Deadline Day.

Kent seized the opportunity to impress in pre-season, catching the eye of Hannover with a fine performance in the Audi Cup win over Bayern Munich.

However, Hoedt has confirmed the Bundesliga side will do no more business, insisting the signing of forward Ihlas Bebou will be their “last transfer”.

The German window closes at 17.00 BST, meaning there is little time for a u-turn.

However, a number of Championship outfits are also interested in the 20-year old, who featured 45 times for Barnsley in 2016/17.

According to The Coventry Telegraph, Birmingham City, Derby County, Aston Villa and Hull are weighing up a move before the window shuts.

The Reds rewarded Kent with a long-term contract earlier this summer and will seek guarantees of sufficient game time and effective management.

Should Kent stay put, he will likely be restricted to outings in the early rounds of cup competitions.
