Divock Origi is set to be offered a new contract at Liverpool, according to Football Insider.
The striker was widely expected to leave Anfield last summer, having fallen out of favour under Jurgen Klopp.
He had already spent a loan spell at Wolfsburg in 2017/18 and a permanent move away felt inevitable, but he said no to a switch to Wolves.
Although still very much on the fringes this season, Origi has impressed when given late cameo roles from the substitutes’ bench, often being preferred to the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Daniel Sturridge.
He has added pace and unpredictability late on in games, and famously scored a stoppage time winner at home to Everton in December.
The 23-year-old now looks set to be rewarded for his efforts with the offer of a new deal.
The report states that Klopp “has been blown away by Origi’s attitude and application at the club’s Melwood training headquarters.”
Should the Belgian reject a new contract, chances are he will be sold in the summer.
