Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford is a better player than Roberto Firmino, according to former footballer Curtis Woodhouse.
Firmino has been one of the standout stars of the Jurgen Klopp era at Liverpool, scoring 84 goals, registering 60 assists and leading the line in unique fashion.
The Brazilian’s form hasn’t always been good this season, however, while Bamford has shone for Leeds, netting 11 times in 20 Premier League appearances.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, ex-journeyman Woodhouse claimed the Englishman is superior to the Liverpool superstar:

This is a remarkable opinion from Woodhouse, with Firmino a far superior player to Bamford.
That’s not to say that the Leeds man hasn’t been better in 2020/21 to date – he has, in fairness – but Liverpool’s No.9 is a regular starter for Brazil and has been a key man for arguably the world’s top club team for the last several years.
It can certainly be argued that Bamford is a stronger finisher on current form, but he doesn’t possess anywhere near Firmino’s level of intelligence and natural ability.
Firmino pass completion rate of 81.1 percent is better than Bamford’s (77.2%) in the league this season, and he also outdoes him on tackles per game – 1.0 to 0.5 – highlighting his superior work off the ball.
