Liverpool often find themselves linked with some of the best players across Europe.
This summer has been no different, with a number of players rumoured to be of interest by the club.
So far some more conrete links have been in the form of Renato Sanches, Youri Tielemans, and Saúl Ñíguez.
The club are operating on limited finances this summer so signings may depend on player sales.
However, it appears as though one of the superstar players being linked with the club has been urged to do so.
According to Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit, French striker Kylian Mbappé should move to Liverpool.
Speaking to Goal, via The Mirror, Petit thinks that Anfield would be the perfect destination for Mbappé…
“There are few clubs in the world that can afford to pay his wages so it’s possible that if he did leave he would come to the Premier League… The best fit for him might be Liverpool… Kylian has a year left on his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, and he still hasn’t signed a new deal. It appears he’s had some arguments with Leonardo, the sporting director.”

Mbappé has become one of the most sought-after players on the planet over the last few seasons.
The Frenchman burst onto the scene with AS Monaco before joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 on a year-long loan.
This then became a permanent transfer the following year for a staggering £130.5million in 2018.
Mbappé is yet to agree on a new contract and the Reds have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old.
The forward currently has a market value of £144million according to Transfermarkt which is very steep.
However, if the Frenchman opts to see out his contract at PSG he would be available for free next summer.
It is also key to point out that Petit does also feels that it isn’t necessary for Mbappé to leave PSG.
Despite this, if the youngster were to leave, it is clear he thinks Liverpool is the best place for him.
