Sky Sports report that Liverpool striker Milan Balotelli will not be offloaded by the club this summer, according to the Italian’s agent.
It was initially thought that Liverpool will look to move Balotelli amidst interest from Italian club Sampdoria. However, Balotelli’s agent has stated that the forward will remain at Liverpool despite struggling to get a run of games.
Since joining for £16 million last summer, the Italian international has only managed one league for Liverpool in 15 appearances.
Lack of form coupled with some niggling injuries meant that Balotelli was in and out of the starting 11 this season.
With Liverpool’s strikers suffering from a collective barren spell, Brendan Rodgers sometimes opted to play Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho in a false nine position. The ex-Manchester City striker will hope that his fortunes turn for the better next season.
