With a decision on his next steps unlikely to be announced before the end of the season, Emre Can continues to be linked with summer moves to some of Europe’s top clubs.
While interest from Juventus is well documented, Real Madrid are also now in the running for the Germany international as they look to bolster their midfield options.
Madrid have been watching Can in recent weeks and have come away impressed with his performances as they prepare to step up their interest in the combative midfielder.

Can’s Liverpool contract expires in June and it’s believed that Juventus have a long-term contract offer on the table worth £4.5m-a-year, approximately £85,000-a-week plus bonuses, an offer that Can is holding off agreeing to for the time being.
Aware that other clubs are chasing his signature, the 24-year-old is putting off finalising his next move until the current season is over so he can focus on the challenges Liverpool face over the coming months.
Real Madrid hope to take advantage of the delay by entering the race to sign Can, but a formal contract offer has yet to be put forward.
Premier League rivals Manchester United and Manchester City are also interested in signing Can on a free transfer, as are former club Bayern Munich.
