The Premier League season ended this weekend and Liverpool had a more than interesting campaign.
There were plenty of ups and downs for the club and the fans, with the club’s youngsters providing some fantastic support.
Individuals such as Neco Williams, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Nat Phillips were all ready when called upon.
One other youngster that was more than impressive at times was 20-year-old Rhys Williams.
The academy graduate provided incredible support in defence and earned plenty of praise from Jurgen Klopp.
However, according to Goal, the Reds are set to send the youngster out on loan next season…
As cited by AnfieldWatch on Twitter, this summer will no doubt see Williams go on loan.
There were signs this season of the player that Williams could become in the future.
A loan next season could easily provide some fantastic learning to build on for the defender depending on where he goes.
Whether that be in the Championship, League 1, or even abroad is unkown.
The Championship would see the more realistic option for Williams given his experience that he has developed.
Having played in both the Champions League and Premier League this season, it would be a big shock.
However, it still makes sense for Williams to continue to learn his trade and a loan next season could be the making of him.
