Ryan Kent’s superb season at Rangers has been rewarded, with the winger winning PFA Scotland’s Young Player of the Year award on Sunday night.
The 22-year-old moved to Ibrox last summer, having been deemed surplus to requirements at Liverpool.
Steven Gerrard was keen to snap him up for a season and it has proved to be a masterstroke from the Reds legend.
Kent has thrived throughout the campaign, scoring six goals in 39 appearances, including one away to Celtic in one of British football’s fiercest fixtures.
Such has been the youngster’s level of form north of the border, there are even rumours linking him with a permanent move to Rangers, with Gerrard interested in a deal coming to fruition.
He has spoken of his desire to find a permanent club, following various loan spells.
It appears highly unlikely that Kent has a future at Liverpool, but Rangers could be the next best thing, for the time being at least.
