Mohamed Salah’s agent has rubbished reports suggesting his player has asked to leave Liverpool this summer.
A story in Spanish publication AS on Wednesday claimed the Egyptian has fallen out with Jurgen Klopp and wants a move elsewhere once the season reaches its conclusion.
It was even reported that he was considering handing in a transfer request, amid interest from Real Madrid.
It looks as though there is no truth in it, however, with Ramy Abbas Issa, Salah’s agent, taking to Twitter to produce a clever little play on words in response:
Talking out of their AS again I see.
In truth, it was a rumour that didn’t look credible as soon as it emerged prior to Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Porto.
The Reds won 4-1 in Portugal to book their place in the semi-finals, with Salah responding to the story in style.
He set up Sadio Mane for his side’s first goal of the night, before notching his 23rd goal of the season to make it 2-0 in the second half.
