Sheffield United boss happy with Woodburn’s progress

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is happy with Liverpool loanee Ben Woodburn’s performances so far for his side this season and encouraged by his progression, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Woodburn has already featured in five of the Blades fixtures this season, though only one of them has been a start. However, United have won three of the five games in which the youngster has been involved.

Wilder has spoken of Woodburn’s progression and has praised his contributions to the team.

After failing to be brought on in the recent victory over Aston Villa, however, Wilder has told fans that the teenager is still adjusting to life in senior football.

He’s doing well and he’s been a big part in the results we’ve achieved so far.

He’s got a great attitude, he’s a really good professional and he’s fitted in really well to the group.

This is probably the first time he’s been involved day in day out so that was bound to take some adjusting too. Everything was factored in when the decision was made, by everyone involved, and we’re really encouraged by how he’s doing.
