Some Liverpool fans question Jurgen Klopp’s ‘most consistent player’ claim

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has labelled midfielder Gini Wijnaldum as the ‘most consistent player’ this season, during his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s visit to Anfield on Thursday.

The Dutchman, alongside Andy Robertson, has certainly been one of the few players to avoid injury absence this term and as such, the 30-year-old has appeared in all 26 Premier League matches.

That availability has proven pivotal for Klopp as the squad has been decimated by injury time and time again.

Based on performance alone Wijnaldum has also stood up to the test, earning an average 6.80 Sofascore rating in the league.

Often someone to divide opinion amongst the fanbase, unsurprisingly Kopites have reacted to Klopp’s claim and we’ve collated the best for you…
