Virals: Fan outrage continues despite Super League apology

Impassioned Liverpool fans have continued to voice their displeasure towards ownership cartel Fenway Sports Group despite a public apology from principal owner John W Henry.

There was outrage en masse from Kopites in the immediate aftermath when the Reds were named among the 12 founder clubs in a breakaway European Super League.

Amidst much condemnation from all six Premier League clubs involved, Liverpool backtracked on their involvement and fan power had seemingly won the day.

Henry addressed the supporters by way of apology via a video posted on social media, although not all Liverpool fans are willing to forgive and forget.

That stance has been illustrated in banner form at Anfield today – as spotted by Twitter user @JenboLFC and shown here.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

There are certainly bigger powers at play here as the failed Super League attempt highlights the problems faced in modern-day football, run by modern-day owners.

Liverpool has historically always been a club with the supporters best wishes in mind, something that was entirely overlooked earlier this week.

Whilst the correct decision was reached eventually, this has been just another incident of FSG not reading the club correctly.
