Liverpool are reportedly at the ‘front of the queue for Manchester City goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu.
The 19-year-old is currently on loan at League One side Portsmouth and is seemingly attracting plenty of interest.
But the Reds are believed to be leading the chase for the teenage stopper who made himself a national hero when saving a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty recently.
That’s according to a report from the Sunday Mirror, as cited by LFC Transfer Room in Twitter.

The report claims that the Anfield club are keen on signing the seven-times capped Republic of Ireland starlet.
So far this season Bazunu has conceded 24 times in 19 appearances across all competitions for the South Coast club.

Valued at £540,000 and under contract in Manchester until 2024 (Transfermarkt), prizing the Irishman out of the Etihad would be a difficult venture.
Countryman and another young goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has impressed when called upon by Jurgen Klopp and at present appears to be the man destined to follow Alisson as Liverpool number one.
Brazilian teenager Marcelo Pitaluga was also a recent acquisition followed closely by a new goalkeeping coach and legendary compatriot Cláudio Taffarel.
All of this means that despite the lure of snatching a talented youngster from major rivals, Liverpool will surely not be pursuing a move for Bazunu.
