Liverpool have been named alongside a host of top-flight clubs ‘keen’ on Fleetwood Town defender James Hill.
The Reds are said to be interested in the 19-year-old as Burnley, Southampton, Manchester United and Everton also show their admiration.
Steven Gerrard is also believed to be interested in taking the centre-back to Rangers when his contract expires next summer.
That’s according to a report from the Daily Record, as cited by Anfield Edition on Twitter, claiming Liverpool have been scouting the teenager.

Further reports have claimed Championship side Preston North End also want to sign the newly capped England Under 20 international.
This season Hill has made five appearances across all competitions – earning a 6.73 Sofascore rating in three League One outings.

This is an interesting link, especially as the Englishman is available for nothing in a matter of months.
Clearly talented given the levels of interest, snapping up young English prospects is always a shrewd approach.
Following a crippling injury crisis last season, Jurgen Klopp now has Nat Phillips, Ben Davies, Rhys Williams and Sepp van den Berg as backup central defensive options to the main quartet – an embarrassment of riches.
For any move for Hill to materialise, surely at least one of the aforementioned options will leave the club on a permanent basis.
That said, a signing in the mould of the capture of Joe Gomez from Charlton Athletic back in 2015 could well be the on the cards.
