Liverpool have once again been linked with a future move for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
The Reds are reportedly ‘keeping a close eye’ on the 18-year-old midfielder having witnessed rapid development for both club and country.
However, in spite of strong admiration from Merseyside, a fresh report from SportBILD, as cited by LFC Transfer Room on Twitter has claimed Bellingham is ‘not considering a move’ at this stage.
This season Bellingham has continued to flourish, scoring three times and providing six assists in 16 appearances across all competitions.
Elsewhere, another report from the same outlet has stated that director of football, Michael Edwards, is now the ‘hot candidate’ to take up the post at RB Leipzig.
READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
Signing Bellingham should be a priority for any elite club worth their salt in Europe.
Already a top performer in the Bundesliga, the teenage sensation looks ready to grace any midfield for the next decade at least.
Valued at £63million (Transfermarkt), even paying the mooted £101million asking price should be considered a bargain when you take into account the starlet’s age, ability and likely longevity.
Liverpool will hope that contrary to reports, Edwards remains in the driving seat of recruitment for this capture and many more to come…
