Georginio Wijnaldum was substituted in the 62nd minute of the match between the Netherlands and France with a hamstring injury.
Wijnaldum, who played the full 90 minutes in Holland’s previous game was replaced by Bas Dost after he was spotted grabbing the back of his thigh.
Obviously there is very little information about the severity of the injury as it stands, but it looks like the Dutchman will be a major doubt for Liverpool’s game with Manchester United next Monday.
With Adam Lallana also struggling after picking up an injury playing for the Reds against Swansea last weekend, Jurgen Klopp will have to do some re-shuffling with his midfield.
If Lallana and Wijnaldum can’t play, the obvious move would be to put in Emre Can and play Phillipe Coutinho in a midfield role.
The other alternative is to play either Marko Grujic or Lucas, which Klopp may consider as he might want his side to be more physical against a strong Man United team.
