Liverpool are poised to make an appointment in their coaching department, with Jack Robinson reportedly heavily fancied by the Reds.
According to a report in the Telegraph, current Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg is overseeing the potential move.
The arrival of Robinson – who is currently the national goalkeeper coach at the Football Association – would see Achterberg focus on senior shot-stoppers Simon Mignolet and Alisson Becker, with Robinson devoting time to prospects Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher.
Robinson has previously worked in the goalkeeping department at Manchester United, and was also involved in the England U17 World Cup winning squad of a year ago.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has been in the process of overhauling his backroom staff recently, with the return of Pepijn Lijnders accompanying the arrival of a “throw-in coach”, and now possibly Robinson.
The departure of Zeljko Buvac last season briefly rocked the boat behind the scenes at Anfield, but Klopp now appears to be rebuilding his backroom.
