Liverpool are set to renew their interest in Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell as a replacement for the departing Alberto Moreno.

The Mirror report that the Spaniard is likely to see out the season with the Reds, despite being linked with the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona recently.

Moreno is out of contract at the end of the season and with no new deal in the offing, the player is expected to leave on a free transfer after dividing opinions with his recent performances.

Chilwell has been a long-term target for Liverpool, who have previously failed in moves to sign the player prior to his breakthrough at the King Power.

Now an England international, Chilwell has established himself as one of England and the Premier League’s most promising young defenders.

Leicester will hope to keep hold of the player, with the lure of regular first-team football, something that may not be guaranteed at Anfield with Andy Robertson cementing a starting berth there.
