Liverpool target Nicolo Barella has reportedly emerged as an option for Tottenham Hotspur as they look to replace Mousa Dembele.
The Belgian international is out of contract with Spurs at the end of the season and is currently nursing an ankle problem. According to reports from Italy, this has led them to turn their attention towards a move for Barella.
Barella has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, with Liverpool touted as a potential destination for the youngster.

The young midfielder has cemented his place in the Cagliari starting line-up over the course of the past two seasons and has caught the eye of many with some cultured displays for the club.
Liverpool are well-stocked with options in the central midfield areas but Barella has been perennially linked with a switch to Anfield as he continues to impress for Cagliari.
The 21-year-old has made 12 starts in Serie A this season and has netted one goal from midfield.
