Liverpool will have to splash out €100million to sign Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Reds have been linked with the Italian in recent times, although nothing concrete has emerged.
Chiesa is seen as one of Serie A’s brightest young attacking players, leading to interest from numerous clubs.
Juventus and Inter Milan are two of those reportedly monitoring Chiesa’s situation.
The 21-year-old has scored 12 goals in 31 appearances from out wide this season, outlining why Fiorentina value him so highly.
They are not willing to let him go without a fight this summer, and will demand a huge fee for his services.
Chiesa’s current Fiorentina deal runs until 2022, allowing them to play hardball with other clubs.
Jurgen Klopp is looking to add quality and depth in wide areas ahead of next season and Chiesa fits the bill.
A move to a fellow Serie A team feels more likely, though.
Jurgen Klopp's 5 best signings at Liverpool
The Brazilian is comfortably Liverpool’s best goalkeeper since Pepe Reina and should end up usurping the Spaniard eventually.
4. Andy Robertson
An absolute bargain from Hull City, Robertson has gone from receiving a lukewarm reception to being one of the best left-backs in Europe.
3. Sadio Mane
Mane has been a remarkable signing, adding pace, movement and goals from out wide.
He has scored 11 times in his last 11 appearances for the Reds.
2. Virgil van Dijk
The best centre-back in the world currently, Van Dijk has transformed Liverpool’s defence since arriving in January 2018.
1. Mohamed Salah
Not everyone was convinced when Liverpool signed Salah in 2017, but his impact has been unrivalled since.
Sixty-four goals in 93 appearances is an astonishing record for an out-and-out striker, let alone someone who predominantly plays out wide.
