Derby contact Liverpool about potential Wilson loan

Derby County have contacted Liverpool over a potential deal to re-sign Harry Wilson on loan next season.

According to PA, via SportsMole, Derby have been in talks with Liverpool as they look to bring Wilson back to the Championship.

The report claims that Derby have asked Liverpool to be considered as an option for Wilson if they decide that he will not be a part of their first-team squad in the Premier League.

This suggests that Liverpool are yet to make their mind up over Wilson, who scored in the club’s friendly defeat to Borussia Dortmund this weekend.

He remains a part of Liverpool’s pre-season squad and Jurgen Klopp could look to keep him around the first-team next term.

Wilson spent the 2018/19 season on loan to Derby in the Championship, scoring 18 goals in all competitions.

He was nominated for the EFL Young Player of the Year award for his performances on the wing, but Norwich’s Max Aarons claimed prize.
