Liverpool have named a 20-man squad to fly out to Italy for their Champions League group stage clash with Napoli, with striker Divock Origi the notable absentee.

The Belgian striker, who famously scored in the final last season, limped off against Newcastle on Saturday and has been ruled out of the clash in Naples.

Origi was unlikely to start the game, with Jurgen Klopp expected to recall Roberto Firmino to the starting line-up, but the Belgian has emerged as Klopp’s first back-up option across the front three in recent months.

His injury means that Rhian Brewster will now be looked at as the backup striking option and as such, he is part of the squad that will travel to Naples for the game.

The youngster is yet to feature in a competitive game for the Reds but he might get his opportunity on Tuesday evening, although any game time looks like it will come from the bench, should Klopp feel that a change is needed in attack.
