Liverpool fans swoon over Origi’s goal against Everton on two-year anniversary

Some Liverpool fans have been remembering Divock Origi’s memorable late winner against Everton, on its two-year anniversary.

On December 2nd, 2018, Anfield witnessed one of the most dramatic ends to a Merseyside derby of all time.

Liverpool and Everton looked to have played out a 0-0 draw, with the Reds dropping valuable points in the Premier League title battle with Manchester City.

In the 96th minute, however, Origi carved his name into Liverpool folklore, heading home in front of the Kop, after Jordan Pickford had made a mess of dealing with Virgil van Dijk’s looping effort.

Anfield erupted in the moments after, with Jurgen Klopp racing onto the pitch to celebrate with Alisson, and supporters finding it both joyous and hilarious in equal measure.

On Wednesday, Liverpool’s official Twitter account reminded us all of that great moment, posting a video of the goal.

These Reds supporters reacted to the footage with great glee, two years on from an incredible day at Anfield.
