Divock Origi will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, according to former Everton striker Kevin Campbell.
The Belgian has fallen out of favour at Anfield this season, not yet making a start in the Premier League and being given just one appearance in the competition this term.
Diogo Jota has come in and hit the ground the running, sending Origi further down the attacking pecking order. There doesn’t appear to be a Reds future for the 25-year-old, with an exit in January or next summer on the cards.
Speaking to Football Insider, Campbell tipped Origi to leave when the 2020/21 campaign reaches its conclusion:
I think the writing is on the wall for Divock Origi, to be honest. It is through no real fault of his own but Liverpool are progressing as a team.
Jota is a player who can play across that front line. He is more flexible at a higher level than Origi.
They brought Jota in and he has hit the ground running. He has been phenomenal this season.
Origi will have to move on next year to get first team football.

It makes complete sense for Origi to leave Liverpool, with the team moving on without him. It is a long time since he made a genuinely key contribution in a game, with only two goals to his name in the whole of 2020.
Origi will always be remembered for the big goals against Everton, Barcelona and Tottenham, giving him either cult hero or legendary status forever, depending on your stance.
However, he too often blunts Liverpool’s attack when he plays these days, and he feels more of a hindrance than an effective squad player.
