Arsenal legend Ian Wright has heaped praise on Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, tipping him to keep improving as a footballer.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable rise to prominence, going from academy hopeful to arguably the best right-back in the world. On Wednesday night away to Midtjylland, Alexander-Arnold also captained Liverpool for the first time, fulfilling a childhood dream in the process.
Speaking on his podcast Wrighty’s House, Wright waxed lyrical about the Reds superstar, saying:
I swear to God, he is one of those that it’s refreshing, it’s refreshing. We spoke earlier about professional, learning and what he wants to learn.
He gives me the impression that he is never going to stop learning. He is never going to stop getting better.

It is incredible to see what Alexander-Arnold has already achieved in his career, despite being so young still.
To have won the Premier League and Champions League at 22, not to mention being the youngest-ever player to start back-to-back Champions League finals, is a stunning achievement.
He is already a world-class player, but as he matures in the coming years, there is no reason why he can’t become even more formidable.
The captaincy surely awaits him after Jordan Henderson eventually leaves, and he will believe he can become a truly legendary Anfield figure by the time he hangs up his boots.
