Some Liverpool fans have been mocking Manchester United legend Gary Neville, following some odd remarks regarding the Premier League table.
The Reds dropped two more points in the title race on Wednesday night, drawing 0-0 away to Newcastle United.
It was another flat performance from the reigning champions, who have now slipped up against Fulham, West Brom and the Magpies in recent weeks.
The result means Liverpool are now only three points clear of United at the top of the table, with their bitter rivals having a game in hand.
Neville is a die-hard United fan whose dislike for the Reds is well-known, so it is no surprise that he has been revelling in them dropping points lately.
After Wednesday’s draw with Newcastle, the former right-back took to Twitter to bizarrely claim that United were joint-top of the league, despite still actually being three points adrift.
Joint top 😂

Bit of an arrogant post. You best hope DDG is in Darlow type form otherwise you're getting blown away on 17th January 👍

How incredibly arrogant. I put it to you do you believe that one team is better than their opponent before a ball has been kicked? Pretty poor preconception to have Gary. 🤔
Far as I’m aware there’s only one team currently top of the league THE DEFENDING PL CHAMPIONS! pic.twitter.com/IeraZCh1by— Wanting FSG OUT #FSGOUT ⚔️ (@Lpool_5843) December 31, 2020
