Plenty of Liverpool fans have been reacting as Brighton defender Ben White was revealed as a player of ‘genuine interest’ for a big summer signing by Paul Gorst in the Liverpool Echo.
Interest from the Reds in the 23-year-old is nothing new after they were touted with a desire to sign the versatile defender after his successful loan spell in the Championship with Leeds United last season.
White has continued to flourish in the top flight and it seems his performances this season have further piqued the Anfield club’s interests.
The report claimed that those in charge of transfers at the Premier League champions remain focused on summer signings, despite the clamour for instant remedies, and White is among the prime candidates for a Merseyside move.
