Liverpool fans love Matip’s latest antics during shock defeat to Burnley

Some Liverpool supporters have found one positive from Liverpool’s defeat to Burnley – the latest hilarious antics of Joel Matip.

Jurgen Klopp’s champions suffered a sobering night at Anfield on Thursday, losing 1-0 to the Clarets.

It meant the Reds’ long unbeaten home run in the Premier League came to a crashing end, as their title hopes were dented at the same time.

From the off, it was clear that Liverpool were again well short of their best, with a lack of chances created and endless crosses being lumped into the penalty area.

There was one thing to enjoy from a dire contest, however, with Matip again producing comedy antics when he wasn’t even trying to.

During a skirmish between Fabinho and Ashley Barnes at half-time, the Cameroonian strode up to the Burnley striker and struck a bizarre post in front of him.

These Liverpool fans reacted to the moment on Twitter, finding it hilarious.
