Liverpool could look to sell Mohamed Salah in order to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to Marca.

Salah has been a remarkable player for Liverpool, scoring 115 goals in just 183 appearances for the Reds. He has hinted at a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona in the recent past, however, and reports over his future continue to not go away.

It is now claimed that Jurgen Klopp remains a keen admirer of Mbappe, who could leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

Although Madrid appear favourites to sign him, it is stated that Liverpool would be willing to offload Salah if it meant signing the Frenchman.

If that decision ending up arriving for Liverpool in the summer, it is such a tough one to get right.

Salah turns 29 this year and Mbappe is just 22 currently, so in terms of long-term potential, replacing the former with the latter could make sense.

That being said, Liverpool’s Egyptian King remains one of the world’s most devastating attacking players and the Reds could miss his relentless end product. He could still be in and around his peak for several years, too.

It is a healthy headache for Klopp to have, in many ways, considering the quality of both Mbappe and Salah, but it is difficult to know which decision would be the correct one.
