The summer transfer window is well underway with Liverpool already getting their deals done early.

Friday saw the announcement of French defender Ibrahima Konaté for £36million from RB Leipzig.

The 22-year-old is set to give the Reds further strength in central defence with some fantastic options.

However, it appears as though Liverpool’s spending isn’t quite finished yet.

According to recent reports from todofichajes, as cited by LFCTransferRooms Matt Thielen, Liverpool are set to announce the signing of RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka in the coming days…

If the rumours are true, then Daka could be a fantastic signing for the club given his record this season.

From 42 games for the Swiss side, the Zambian international recorded a staggering 34 goals and 12 assists.

The signing of Daka will likely be due to the possible outgoing of Liverpool’s Divock Origi.

The Belgium has only featured for the club 12 times last campaign and failed to make much of an impact.

With Origi failing to step up to the mark on occasion, Liverpool need better qualty in depth.

However, with a record a prolific as Daka’s, the 22-year-old could well become an integral part of the clubs forward line.

Roberto Firmino has been incredibly important for the Reds during his time at the club but has struggle infront of goal at times.

From 48 appearances in all competitions this season, Firmino has only managed 9 goals.

If the club do announce the signing of Daka, he will no doubt be welcome competition for the Brazilian.
