Liverpool have been linked with a number of players over the last few weeks after the transfer market opened.
Names such as Youri Tielemans, Renato Sanches, Florian Neuhaus, and even Saúl Ñíguez have been mentioned.
The links come after Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum departed the club at the start of the month.
Wijnaldum opted to not sign a new contract with the Reds, joining French giants PSG on a three-year deal.
His departure has left a hefty hole in the club’s squad, especially given his role in the starting XI.
However, one player that Liverpool have been linked with has been given a raving review from BBC pundit Ian Wright.
The former Arsenal striker was full of praise for Barcelona start boy Pedri, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool.
Speaking on his Wrighty’s House Podcast and cited by HITC, via Liverpool Echo, Wright described Pedri as ‘frightening’.
The 18-year-old has been an impressive component in Spain’s midfield during the current Euro 2020 tournament.
With a current release clause of £70million, Barcelona are hoping to keep hold of Pedri this summer.
However, given Wright’s recommendation of the youngster, the Reds should step up their efforts…
“Before I do it I watch them over and over and over and see what more I can see from it.
“It’s very hard to make people understand how difficult what he’s doing is and how easy he’s making it look at his age. It’s quite frightening with somebody at this age, because he’s just so good.”

With Spain set to face Italy in the semi-finals of the European Championship tonight, Reds fans may want to take a look.
Hopefully, the club will address the void left by Wijnaldum this summer as they aim for silverware next campaign.
