Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made an impressive habit of making the most out of seemingly impossible situations.
Not only did the German boss manage to wrestle away Bayern Munich’s stranglehold on the Bundesliga title as Borussia Dortmund head, but the 54-year-old has been fighting against the odds since arriving on Merseyside.
From toppling the all-conquering Manchester City to a remarkable comeback victory without Mohamed Salah against Barcelona en route to Champions League glory, Klopp doesn’t seem to understand the meaning of a lost cause.
Fresh off the back of guiding the Reds to what seemed an unlikely third-place finish last season, Klopp will be considering the best way to strike back next term.
According to a report from Spanish website Fichajes, as cited by Football Transfers on Twitter, the boss has set out the signings that will make Liverpool challengers once again.

Links to all three have certainly been doing the rounds in recent weeks, with Lille midfielder and star of Euro 2020 for Portugal, Renato Sanches, the latest and current strongest.
Any incomings at Anfield will follow Ibrahima Konate through the door after the Reds signed the French centre-back from RB Leipzig.

It’s been well documented that any further arrivals would have to be supplemented by the sales of fringe players.
That process has begun slowly with the departure of Liam Millar and Kamil Grabara, with hopefully more to follow.
Whether the names are correct is questionable, although there is no reason to doubt given the links elsewhere, positionally, the aforementioned trio fill the requirements in Klopp’s squad.
In terms of quality all three would boost the ranks, albeit the two central midfield arrivals would overload the area and perhaps preempt a major departure.
Perhaps a recognised central striker in order to provide fierce competition to Roberto Firmino would be an added bonus.
