Virals: Multiple clubs interested in Liverpool winger Harry Wilson

Liverpool winger Harry Wilson is attracting interest from numerous clubs this summer.

The 24-year-old is expected to link back up with the Reds following a short break after representing Wales at Euro 2020.

However, any return could be short-lived as the club look to move fringe players on in order to fund incomings for Jurgen Klopp.

According to a report from James Pearce for The Athletic, as cited by Transferchanger on Twitter, the Welshman isn’t short on potential suitors.

The report mentions a fee of between £12-15million would be necessary in order to land the starlet previously described as ‘outstanding’ by ex-Liverpool academy boss Michael Beale.

Wilson spent 2020/21 on loan at Cardiff City in the Championship and is expected to move on permanently this time.

During that spell, the 29-cap ace scored seven goals and added 12 assists in 37 league outings.

Valued at £15.3million and under contract until 2023 at Anfield (Transfermarkt), Liverpool should be willing to accept anything close to that figure for a permanent sale.

Unfortunately given the financial state of play, if ever there was a summer whereby the Reds needed to be lenient on valuations it was this one.

In summers gone by Michael Edwards and co have been the masters of extracting every possible penny from departures such as Dominic Solanke, Jordan Ibe and Danny Ward, however this time they may have to take a hit or two.

Albeit a talented individual, with just two senior appearances for the club under his belt and sharing a position with Mohamed Salah, a move would be best for all parties.
