Liverpool are believed to ‘want to open talks’ to sign Stade Rennais winger Jeremy Doku this summer.
The Reds hold a long-standing interest in the Belgium international and could move for 19-year-old in order to replenish the attacking options at Anfield.
Recently Belgian website Voetbal 24 reported that impressive performances during the European Championships have reignited interest from Merseyside.
Following the report, Portuguese transfer specialist Pedro Almeida has taken to Twitter to claim Liverpool are keen to initiate contact.

The Ligue 1 club are expected to demand a fee in the region of £38million to part with the 10 times capped teenager.
Last season, the teenager once described as a ‘rough diamond’ by Kevin De Bruyne, scored twice and registered three assists in 30 league outings.

Valued at £23.4million and under contract until 2025 in France (Transfermarkt), signing a player with the ability and potential of Doku for the suggested £38million would be a worthwhile acquisition.
Equally adept on both wings and as a central striker, the Belgian phenomenon would offer Klopp maximum cover across the front three and is young enough to be a permanent replacement.
Perhaps sing Divock Origi in a deal, or at the very least selling Doku’s compatriot and Xherdan Shaqiri could see this transfer move forwards.
