Jurgen Klopp issues stark warning over long-term future

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has delivered a stark warning over what the future may hold.

Often touted as the next Germany boss, Klopp has hinted at taking a sabbatical from the profession as the demands take their toll.

Klopp was appointed at Anfield in October 2015 and is currently under contract until 2024.

Reputable journalist James Pearce has recently suggested the 54-year-old was ‘likely to step down’ from the club at the end of the current deal.

Now the manager himself has been discussing what is to come, in an interview with RTL/NTV (via Sport Witness), as cited by Liverpool FC News on Twitter.

What I do is unbelievable fun; I enjoy it very much. The only problem is that, in my job, you don’t have any time off, no chance to switch off. Do I really have to have this until old age?

Since arriving on Merseyside, Klopp has lifted the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

This is a topic that every Kopite will be reticent to uncover.

Klopp quickly became a fan favourite in no time at all on the Kop and has remained in hearts ever since.

Whilst it’ll be a sad day whenever the German does leave, Liverpool fans will no doubt fully understand the decision and must go on with, hopefully, a few extra trophies in the cabinet by that time.
