Virals: Liverpool pay ‘attention’ to Bayern Munich star Corentin Tolisso

Liverpool have reportedly been drawn to Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso.

The Reds have previously been linked with the 27-year-old in 2018 Frenchman and it was then billed as a ‘dream’ move for the ace.

Out of contract at the end of the season (Transfermarkt), Bayern are still keen to tie the World Cup winner down to a new deal.

According to a report from calciomercato.com, Liverpool are one of the clubs keen to step in should no extension be forthcoming.

The report states that the 28-cap France star is keeping the Anfield club’s ‘attention’s high’ whilst awaiting a new offer.

So far this season Tolisso – described as ‘quality’ by Hansi Flick – has scored three times and provided three assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.

Signing the vastly versatile Frenchman for free would certainly go down as a shrewd move by the Reds.

Already a serial trophy winner, Tolisso would bring a ready-made experience and elite level mentality to the squad.

However, having missed 87 matches in four and a half seasons through injury, there would have to be major doubts over whether the midfielder could adapt to life in the Premier League.

If assurances over fitness were met, then bringing the £13.5million valued man to Merseyside for free would be a no-brainer.

matchday.
