- Yan Diomande to reject Liverpool for PSG
- Curtis Jones wanted by Nottingham Forest
- Ayyoub Bouaddi not mentioned as a Reds target
Liverpool have already made one signing under Andoni Iraola in the form of Victor Munoz and are expected to be active in the transfer market this summer.
The Spaniard’s arrival – coupled with key players like Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah leaving – means they have a lot of work to do in terms of incomings.
Signing a right-winger will be a big talking point at Anfield this summer as there is a Salah-shaped hole to fill.
However, that player won’t be Yan Diomande, with the Ivorian having his heart set on a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Diomande wants PSG transfer
Diomande was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, with the Reds working diligently behind the scenes to secure his signature.
The 19-year-old is coming on the back of a breakthrough season with RB Leipzig and has already made quite the impression at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, spearheading the Ivory Coast to the knockout stages with two Man of the Match performances.
However, David Ornstein has confirmed that Diomande has his heart set on a move to PSG as he wants to work under Luis Enrique.
The tricky winger has his heart set on winning the Ballon d’Or and believes he’s got the best chance of doing so in Paris, with the Ligue 1 giants making it back-to-back UEFA Champions League wins earlier this summer with a win against Arsenal.
Not the best news for the Reds as Diomande is clearly a fantastic player. On to Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes to earn their money now with a suitable alternative.
Curtis Jones wanted by Nottingham Forest
Curtis Jones has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan since the turn of the year. In fact, the Reds turned down a bid for him in January, although his future remains uncertain as he only has a year left on his contract.
And now, Ben Jacobs reports that Nottingham Forest have thrown their hat into the ring for Jones.
The versatile midfielder wasn’t a regular starter under Arne Slot.
However, with Andoni Iraola replacing the Dutchman at Anfield, perhaps it would make sense to keep him around and see how he fares in pre-season before making a call on his future.
The Liverpool-Ayyoub Bouaddi situation
Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi has been linked with a move to Liverpool and is another player who has enjoyed a fine World Cup campaign.
The Moroccan midfielder stole the show on matchday one and has attracted interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world.
However, judging by Fabrice Hawkins’ recent update, it appears as if Liverpool aren’t in the race to secure his signature.
As seen below, the Reds haven’t been mentioned as one of the clubs interested in securing his signature, with the likes of Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Arsenal all keeping tabs.
It might be good news for the Reds, though, as the report also mentions that the Ligue 1 side want a transfer fee of around €80-100m to sell him this summer.
He’s undoubtedly a talented player, but surely that price is too steep for Liverpool, considering they also have other gaping holes to plug in the squad?
