Liverpool should sign both Jadon Sancho and Timo Werner this summer, according to Jamie Carragher.
The Reds have been regularly linked with Sancho and Werner during this season, as they eye up potential summer reinforcements.
Given the likely cost of both players, I personally thoink that only one could sign – Kai Havertz and Kylian Mbappe are the other high-profile players linked – but Carragher thinks otherwise.
Speaking to Viasport, the Liverpool legend said buying the pair would take the strain off Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Things can change very quickly. If you look at Tuesday night (where Liverpool lost against Atletico Madrid), the big problem for Liverpool is when one of those front-three are not playing. Sadio Mane had to come off and the player they bring on in is Divock Origi, who is a Liverpool legend because of what happened last year at the Wanda Metropolitano, but it’s not quite good enough for the best team in the world to be bringing that quality on. Liverpool do need a top attacking player to come in the summer. Sancho or Werner? I’ll take both!

If Liverpool can afford to sign both Sancho and Werner this summer, I would be fully behind the idea.
The Reds’ transfer window was quiet last summer, so it may be that they were saving themselves for some big spending this time around.
While there would be huge competition for places in the squad with Sancho and Werner joining, both would represent long-term acquisitions.
Salah and Mane will be on Africa Cup of Nations duty next year, too, and there is no guarantee that they will remain at Liverpool forever.
Jurgen Klopp needs to look at the bigger picture and have long-term replacements for the front-three lined up – Sancho and Werner could be perfect additions, as they have scored a combined 39 goals this season, as well as registering 22 assists between them.
