Liverpool are highly unlikely to sign Jadon Sancho this summer, with Chelsea and Manchester United leading the race to land him.
That’s according to the Mirror’s David Maddock, who claims that the Reds ‘are not involved at any level’ when it comes to attempting to bring in the 20-year-old.
Sancho has been one of the players most strongly linked with a move to Liverpool at the end of the season, along with RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
It appears as though Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford might be his next destination, however, with the Borussia Dortmund star never an ‘active target’ for Jurgen Klopp.

While Sancho’s potential might be there for all to see, I don’t believe signing him is a necessity for Liverpool this summer. With Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino expected to stay put, and Werner hopefully coming in, buying him could leave the Reds with as many as five world-class attacking options.
While competition for places is healthy, that is arguably too many elite players to keep happy, in terms of making them all regular picks in the starting line-up.
Sancho could also reportedly cost a minimum of £100 million, which could be spent on improving other areas of the pitch.
A back-up left-back is needed, for example, providing more competition for Andy Robertson, while a creative midfielder in the mould of rumoured Reds target Kai Havertz could bring another dimension in the middle of the park.
