The entourage of Liverpool target Erling Braut Haaland have held talks with Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about a potential move to Old Trafford.
According to Norwegian outlet VG, United have held talks about a move to sign the player from Red Bull Salzburg.
Haaland is arguably the most in-demand player across Europe ahead of the January window, with Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig already holding talks over a deal as well.

Liverpool have previously been linked with the striker, but now face stiff competition to complete a deal.

Liverpool clearly enjoy a strong relationship with Salzburg and the imminent signing of Takumi Minamino backs that up.
Any deal to sign Haaland would need to be a blockbuster one. The striker has enjoyed a fantastic first half of the season, with nearly every top European club vying for his signature.
The striker must choose his next move carefully, which is why a move to Anfield may not be realistic.
If he wants to continue developing as a player, he simply has to be playing every week, something that may not be guranteed at Liverpool.
Leipzig, on paper, looks like the ideal next step for Haaland, where he could replace another Liverpool target in the form of Timo Werner. He’d be able to take the step up from Salzburg and use the Bundesliga side as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.
