March should have been the perfect month for Liverpool but, instead, it has left Reds fans with a rather bitter taste in their mouths after they blew a commanding lead against Southampton and somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
A 3-0 win over Manchester City got the Reds off to a dream start in March, and a late winner at Crystal Palace four days later made it three successive league wins for Liverpool.
Then came both legs of the Europa League last 16 tie against Manchester United in which the Reds outclassed the old enemy over two legs and advanced to the quarter-finals with aplomb.
Defeat at St. Mary’s leaves Liverpool seven points off the pace in the battle for a Champions League place, and with five teams to overtake, finishing in the top four looks a huge ask now.
In this Duel feature, you get the chance to vote the Reds’ Player of the Month. Simply choose the player you felt had the better March in each duel, and in a winner-stays-on format, you will finish with one last man standing.
