Liverpool’s £58.5m Brazilian superstar keen to sign new contract reports Fabrizio Romano

Liverpool signed Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker from AS Roma in 2018 for just over £56million.

Since then, the shot-stopper has helped the club to Premier League and Champions league glory.

His three seasons at the club have been incredible so far, and it seems he is keen to extend that stay.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Alisson is eager to sign a new contract with the club this summer…

The news, as cited by Anfield Ftbl, is great for the club and Liverpool fans alike.

Alisson is clearly enjoying his time under Klopp and is happy to continue his journey at Anfield.

The German will no doubt be very happy to know this too, as it secures his spine for even longer.

Previous years has seen the club struggle to fill positions in goal and defence for the long-term with players not quite up to par.

However, the signing of Alisson gave Liverpool a goalkeeper for at least the next 7-8 years.

Alisson doesn’t appear to be the only player that could be looking at a new contract either.

AnfieldWatch reports that Andy Robertson, Trent, Mo Salah, and Fabinho could also all receive contract extensions.

Ensuring these players for the next few seasons is massively important and shows a real ambition from the club.

matchday.
