Arsenal hold strong interest in Liverpool target Insigne

Arsenal hold strong interest in Liverpool transfer target and Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne, according to reports.

The Italy international has emerged as a major summer transfer target for Jurgen Klopp’s side, with the Reds keen on strengthening their forward options ahead of next season.

According to reports from Italy in February, as cited by Liverpool’s official website, the Reds had a £61million offer rejected for the 27-year old by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Now, according to Calciomercato, who cite Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Unai Emery is interested in adding Insigne to his Arsenal squad, with the Spaniard looking to kick on from a fairly successful debut campaign in English football.

Insigne has long been one of Napoli’s biggest stars, and with the Partenopei currently 15 points behind league leaders Juventus, the club will fight hard to keep their star forward against all advances from either Premier League club this summer.
