Liverpool have announced the signing of Adam Bogdan from Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer, and he will join when his contract expires on July 1.
The Reds have been in need of a new goalkeeper after they decided to let Brad Jones leave and they’ve chosen the 27-year-old Hungarian to be his replacement.
Liverpool’s scouting team apparently monitored Bogdan’s progress as the season has went on, and the desicion was made to bring the goalkeeper to Anfield.
This is the third out-of-contract player that the Reds have recruited this summer, with James Milner already on board and the signing of Danny Ings also announced.
In what could be seen as smart business, Rodgers has improved upon three positions in his squad, with the £8m for Danny Ings being the only transfer fee.
The Reds are expected to make some more expensive, proven quality signings as the summer goes on.
