Liverpool have been locked in talks to sign Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola from PSG.
A lot has been reported about the moves in recent weeks and we’ve brought you all the details on Read Liverpool.
Earlier today, reports from England claimed both Mbaye and Barcola had agreed personal terms with the Reds.
And now, one of the most reliable sources in France has confirmed that the Senegalese international has agreed a five-year deal to move to Anfield.
Ibrahim Mbaye agrees personal terms with Liverpool
Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport wrote on X: “Excl Liverpool have reached an agreement with Ibrahim Mbaye.
“The two parties have agreed on the financial terms of a five-year contract. Mbaye has made his choice and does not wish to pursue interest from Bayer Leverkusen.”
The player rejecting interest from Leverkusen is key as they were the most advanced club for his signature before Liverpool’s decision to enter the race.
Mbaye’s decision means the ball is now on Liverpool’s court to make an official offer.
Hawkins also confirmed on X that Liverpool want both Mbaye and Barcola, so the deals are well and truly mutually exclusive.
Exciting times, to say the least, at Anfield…
